West Bengal: Woman strangulated to death by husband
On February 22, 2012 DNA reported that an 18-year-old woman was allegedly strangulated to death by her husband and his first wife. The husband, first wife and other family members are absconding, said police. Sapna (18), a native of Cooch Behar in West Bengal, was found dead in Tagore Nagar, behind Plot no 41, under Vaishali Nagar Police station. Kanak Das, a native of West Bengal, had an affair with Sapna for the past one-and-a-half years. He brought her in Jaipur on February 8.
