Midnapore: One more maoist surrenders before police
On November 21, 2011 Hindustan Times reported that Taking a cue from Maoist couple Jagari Baske and Rajaram Soren, another rebel cadre turned himself over in Purulia on Sunday. Rabi Mandi, an active Maoist action squad member, surrendered before district police chief Sunil Choudhury on the day. The latest setback to the rebels came days after Jagari appeared before the media along with her husband and son at Writers’ after formally turning herself over to the state police. “Mandi, who operated under the name Singrai in the Maoist action squad, had been active over the last two years and had been involved in several cases violence and murder, today turned himself over to us. We are presently working out the modalities of his rehabilitation,” said Choudhury.
