As published in Times of India, Ahmedabad crime branch has arrested Shreeniwas Venkatiya Kuttupatti hailing from Andhra Pradesh suspecting his involvement in naxal activities. He was arrested on May 31 from Ghodasar, Isanpur.
As published in Times of India, Rahul Brahma a.k.a. Khargeswar Basumatry, a suspected militant was arrested on May 27 at Lower Subansiri. He is suspected to be involved in blasts in October 2008 at Panbazar. This blast was one of the nine blasts on October 30, 2008.

As reported in the Times of India, A suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant was picked up from Ghaziabad for interrogation by Intelligence Team and Delhi police jointly on May 26 and is likely to be arrested.
As reported in the Sakal, Chhattisgarh Police has arrested six persons, including prime accused Barsa Lakhma, who were allegedly involved in the gunning down of 76 CRPF jawans in Dantewada last month. The others arrested included are Oyam Hidma, Podiyami Hidma, Kawasi Budra, Oya Ganga and Dura Joga.

As reported in the Sakal, the Maoist group attacked a bus in which 40 people died on May 17 in Dantewada. This is a second major attack in the last month. The bus was carrying 50 passengers.
The Deccan Herald reported that in a 20 hour encounter session, 6 naxalites were killed and many more were wounded. The action was taken up by security forces on Sunday in Koraput district.
