Patna: Police apprehends top Maoist leader
On June 14, 2011 The Pioneer reported that a top Maoist leader has been arrested in Bihar. He was carrying a reward of Rs. 2 lakh on his head. According to the State police, Jagdish Yadav alias Jagdish Master was arrested from Gaya where he was undergoing medical treatment at a doctor’s clinic. The doctor, Lalji Prasad too was later arrested from a village. “A joint team of Special Task Force of Bihar Police, District Armed Police and CRPF surrounded a private clinic at Guraru Bazaar and captured the Naxal leader on Sunday night,” Gaya Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar, who was leading the team, informed. Acting on a tip-off the police team surrounded Sharda Seva Kendra, a private clinic where the Maoist leader was being treated, and arrested him.
