New Delhi: Suspected terrorist nabbed from Uttar Pradesh
On May 15, 2012 The Pioneer reported that a suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorist, who was allegedly invovled in motivating youth to join the outfit, has been arrested by the Delhi Police. Shakeel, the supsected IM man was arrested from a place near Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
Bangalore: Two suspected terrorists apprehended
On May 09, 2012 Bangalore Mirror reported that the Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested two suspected terrorists belonging to the terror outfits, Lashkar-e-Toiba and the Indian Mujahideen. They have been identified as Syed Abdul Rehman (25), a resident of Chamarajpet who is said to be an LeT operative, and Mohammed Khafeel Akthar (26), a native of Bihar involved in Chinnaswamy stadium blast in April 2010. Rehman was planning to carry out blasts at important installations in the city and also planned to murder prominent Hindu leaders to disturb communal peace.
Visakhapatnam: Malkangiri police nab Maoist commander, says sources
On April 05, 2012 Times of India reported that a Maoist commander Sanyasi Pujari Alias Praveen surrendered before the police of Malakangiri in Orissa close to Seeleru border in Visakhapatnam district on Wednesday. Sources however said that he was arrested by the Malkangiri police last week.

On March 29, 2012 Hindustan Times reported that the Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a 20-year-old suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist, who is said to be a close aide of the outfit’s absconding chief operative Ahmad Siddi Bappa aka Yasin Bhatkal. The suspected terrorist, identified as Assadullah Rehman alias Dilkash, was arrested from his Chandu Nagar hideout in northeast Delhi’s Karawal Nagar by Delhi Police’s special team.
Guntur: Woman maoist leader, aide apprehended
On March 20, 2012 Times of India reported that Maoist leader Tupakula Ramanjaneyamma alias Santhi, who carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh on her head, was arrested here in the late hours of Sunday. Santhi was shifted to Vinukonda where she is being interrogated by the police in connection with several cases.
Purulia: Duo Maoist cadres surrender
On March 07, 2012 Times of India reported that two hardcore Maoist cadres, allegedly involved in the murder of a police officer, surrendered in Purulia on Tuesday. Police say that after the encounter death of Kishanji, a large number of Maoist cadres have either fled the state or are expressing their willingness to surrender and return to mainstream life.
New Delhi: One more terrorist nabbed
On March 02, 2012 The Pioneer reported that the Delhi Police teams in concert with the central agencies have arrested the third member of the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT) module that was tasked to recce the busy market places of Old Delhi. He has been identified as Tausif Ahmed Peer (22), a resident of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir and was a student of BSc (Bio-technology) at a college in Hazaribagh.
Guwahati: Three militants held, 1 injured in separate operations
On February 24, 2012 Hindustan Times reported that one United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militant was injured in an encounter while three others were nabbed in separate incidents in Assam on Thursday. One Ramen Hatibarua, who had gone to collect money from a shop at Kakopathar in Tinsukia district, was intercepted by an army patrol team, officials said here.
Chennai: Naxalite leader apprehended
On February 21, 2012 Times of India reported that ‘Q’ branch officials on Monday arrested Manivasagam, a core committee member of naxalite outfit Radical Youth League in Thanjavur. A special team monitored his movements “for several months before nabbing him,” a senior ‘Q’ branch officer said. Questioning revealed that Manivasagam was a key state committee member of the naxalite outfit. When first arrested by the Dharmapuri police in 2002 for naxalite activities in the Uthangarai and Kalavi police limits, Manivasagam was a courier, police said. He appeared for the trial until 2008 and then went missing.
