Howrah: Delhi blast suspect held

On September 14, 2011 Hindustan Times reported that Rumours abounded Tuesday evening over the arrest of a suspect in connection with the recent terror attack in Delhi. It was rumoured that upon finding a striking resemblance with the sketch of one of the suspects issued by the Delhi police in the wake of the attack, Bagnan police picked up Mohammad Afzal on the day. The police however denied the claim. The cops later produced him at the Uluberia sub-divisional court where he was sentenced to 14-day jail custody.
