Additional Sessions Judge Rajneesh Kumar Gupta sentenced the duo, Bhupender Singh (35) and Narender Singh (40), to jail term after holding them guilty of trying to kill him after abducting him. “Keeping in view the facts and seriousness of the offence, the accused Bhupender and Narender are sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for three years each for offences of and kidnapping,” the court said, imposing Rs 4,000 fine on each of them.

Initially, the accused, Faizal Shaikh, told the police that his cousin, Asif (23), slipped on the floor and died. The post-mortem report suggested head injuries and later Shaikh confessed to the crime. Shaikh returned from Haj to his Andheri home on Monday morning and asked Asif to remove the luggage from the taxi’s trunk, which the latter refused.

In 2009, police said, M Gajalakshmi of Kaladipet near Tiruvottiyur collected money from many Tiruvottiyur residents, promising huge returns for their deposits. For two months, the depositors got the promised returns. Then the money stopped and the victims approached the police. Gajalakshmi went into hiding.
On May 10, 2012 Times of India reported that Task Force sleuths arrested a fake document maker from Chirag Ali Lane on Wednesday. The arrested youth, Mohammed Raza of Riyasat Nagar in Habeebnagar, runs MMR World Travels, a visa consultancy firm, at Chirag Ali Lane. According to police, Raza was a software engineer, but quit his job in 2008 to set up the visa firm. He ended up in debts as the business became dull. To clear his debts, he began preparing fake visa documents like work experience certificates and bank statements.
