On February 22, 2012 Hindustan Times reported that Haryana Vigilance Bureau on Tuesday caught MP Verma, assistant excise and taxation officer (AETO), Kurukshetra, accepting Rs 4,000 from Jasmer Singh, contractor of country liquor vend from Jind, as monthly commission.
