Pune: Chargesheet filed against ex-income tax officer

On February 01, 2012 Pune Mirror reported that the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against retired Income Tax (IT) officer Nazira Azim Sayyed (60) of Pune, who was arrested two days after her retirement under the Prevention of Corruption Act on January 3, 2011. The CBI had seized assets worth over Rs 1 crore from her house at Bhavani Peth. What’s interesting is that on the chargesheet, the special CBI court has also granted Sayyed bail.
