Indore: Three held for lynching retired patwari

On February 01, 2012 DNA reported that three persons, including a woman, were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly lynching a retired patwari on court premises in Ujjain. Ramesh Nigam, a patwari posted in Tarana, was brutally thrashed with fists and footwear by two women and two men, causing his death on the spot on Monday. Ramesh had emerged out of a courtroom after deposing before a judge in the murder case when the assailants fatally changed on him. The attackers were wife, sons and relatives of Ramesh’s elder brother Prakash.
