On January 30, 2012 DNA reported that a day after Ulsoor Gate police station inspector Anjumala T Nayak was assaulted by an IAS officer’s wife, the latter, identified as Anuja Pande, was arrested by Cubbon Park police from her Koramangala residence. Anuja, wife of Hubli Electricity Supply Company (Hescom) managing director Pankaj Kumar Pande, had assaulted Anjumala when the latter had stopped her from entering through Gate no.1 of Chinnaswamy Stadium before the Celebrity Cricket League match between Karnataka Bulldozers and Mumbai Heroes.
