Siliguri: Police apprehend duo for twin murders

On January 30, 2012 Hindustan Times reported that Darjeeling police on Sunday arrested a duo, Shakti Mondal (21) and Sanju Roy (22), for murdering an assistant manager and a waiter of a hotel in Darjeeling some time ago. Kunal Agarwal, additional superintendent of police, Darjeeling, said, “We picked up two persons from Matigara near Siliguri on Sunday and both have confessed to their crime. They will be produced in court on Monday.” The murder seems to be the fallout of an attempt to rob a private bank that is situated on the ground floor of Hotel Meghma annexure.
