On January 30, 2012 Times of India reported that a brawl over using a public toilet ended up in the death of a 26 year old man. The deceased, Simon Lingeree, was a resident of the Devaji Govind Chawl at Mahim Causeway. The police has arrested one Santosh Kargutkar (40) for the murder who has been remanded to police custody. Kargutkar, is also a resident of the same chawl and was acquainted with the victim. On Saturday around 7pm Lingeree went to use the public bathroom. Kargutkar was waiting in a queue to use the loo and started to grow impatient since Lingeree was taking long.
