Mumbai: Graphic designer, his aide held in cop job scam
On January 26, 2012 Times of India reported that the Mulund police on Wednesday arrested two men—a graphic designer Ashish Pednekar (39) and his accomplice— Ramchandra Ugwekar alias Vilas (50)—who were reportedly found with a dye used to make fake government seals and stamps. The accused sold fake government seals and stamps for a minimum of Rs 10,000 to those who applied for government and police jobs. Police said the names of the accused figured in the call records of two youths—Mangesh Satpute (28) and Rohan Bheke (22) —arrested on December 24, 2011 for making fake identity cards, with fake seals of the commissioner and director general of police, to attend the physical test for police recruitment.
