On January 27, 2012 Times of India reported that police have arrested a 20-year-old diploma-holder for the murder on Wednesday of an assistant librarian’s wife at Crescent Engineering College in Vandalur. Investigating officers said N Santha Kumar, the son of a police head constable, killed Toulath Nisha because she tried to end his relationship with her daughter, a first-year BE student at a private engineering college.
