On January 24, 2012 Times of India reported that the accused in last week’s Dwarka rape case was arrested early on Monday morning when he tried to sneak into his Palam Vihar house to pick up clothes and money for a long stay away from home. Police said they were able to trap Anuj Saini, who had eluded them since January 18, after taking his family members into confidence. “They informed us when he called home to check on them. A plainclothes team was stationed outside his house based on the input. He tried to enter his house around 2am on Monday, and was nabbed,” said an officer.
