Ahmedabad: Hospital raided, cricket betting racket busted

On January 20, 2012 Ahmedabad Mirror reported that crime Branch officials on Thursday raided a hospital at Jivraj Park and busted a cricket betting racket. Two bookies have been arrested while four are on the run, the cops said. One of the bookies had booked a room adjacent to the one in which his sister had been admitted. The arrested have been identified as Satish Shah, 48, a resident of Subham Avenue in Paldi, and his friend Girish Doshi, 46, a resident of Ruturaj Flats in Paldi.
