Lucknow: Trio jailed for possessing and running fake currency notes

On January 17, 2012 Times of India reported that a CBI court on Monday sentenced an employee of the State Bank of India and two others with six-year jail term and Rs 1.5 lakh fine on each for possessing and running fake currency notes. CBI judge JP Singh also directed that genuine notes worth Rs 7.19 lakh recovered from the cashier Sudhakar Tripathi alias Baba shall be deposited in state exchequer.
