On January 12, 2012 DNA reported that three revellers who assaulted a man for slapping a boy on New Year?s Eve were arrested on Wednesday. The victim, Nagaraj, 22, succumbed to head injuries on Saturday. The arrested were Nalla alias Muniyappa, 22, Muniyanna alias Papa, 23, and Amzad, 28, residents of Bhovi Colony. On New Year?s Eve, youngsters in Bhovipalya had organised a party. The celebrations went on without any hitch. Among the participants was a 14-year-old boy.
