Ahmedabad: Man involved in over 180 chain-snatchings, apprehended

On January 04, 2012 Ahmedabad Mirror reported that a clever chain chor, involved in over 180 chain-snatchings, and his accomplice were arrested by the police on Tuesday. The accused were identified as Janak alias Jayesh Amaraslal Panchal (43) and Hawaldar Singh Thakore (49). Panchal, who has snatched around 36 chains in the city, changed the number plate of his bike often to avoid getting caught. Also, he never used the same accomplice for the thefts.
