On January 02, 2012 Times of India reported that the life of a state hockey player was snuffed out when his junior allegedly stabbed him to death after their New Year revelries turned acrimonious. M Bhaskar Rao (21), who represented AP recently at the senior nationals, succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Sunday. The accused, 17-year-old K Ratna Kumar, has been taken into custody along with four others. Rao was the only son of daily wagers, Sattemma and Appili.
