Pune: Police nab father for allegedly raping daughter and sexually abusing son

On December 29, 2011 Mid-Day reported that the Kothrud police yesterday arrested a man for allegedly raping his nine-year-old daughter and sexually abusing his 12-year-old son. The incident came to light when the boy broke down in front of his friend's elder sister, Sharda, who runs a beauty parlour in Karve Nagar. The accused, Jaykumar Kailash Gedam works at a meat shop named Bharat Chicken Centre, located close to Sharda's beauty parlour. The two children often went there to play.
