Patiala: Gynaecologist nabbed for aborting female foetus

On December 22, 2011 Hindustan Times reported that District health officials on Wednesday nabbed a gynaecologist, Dr Meena Garg, red-handed while she was performing an abortion of a female foetus at the Garg Mission Hospital during a raid. “The hospital was illegally carrying out the abortion of foetus of 16 weeks violating the rules and regulations of the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PNDT).
