Pune: Crime branch claims to solve 7 chain snatching crimes

On December 13, 2011 Times of India reported that with the recent arrest of a youth, the crime branch claims to have solved seven chain-snatching crimes in the city. Chains worth Rs 5.05 lakh have been recovered from him. Satish Yallappa Pawar (23) of Hadapsar was arrested after a crime branch team, led by inspector Suresh Kekane, laid a trap and nabbed him on December 5.
