On November 30, 2011 Times of India reported that Task Force police nabbed a history-sheeter from Afzalgunj and managing director (MD) of a real estate firm for possessing illegal fire arms on Tuesday. Police nabbed Talasila Venkata Laxminarsimha Swamy, 47, managing director of Sri Talasila Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Shivabagh, Ameerpet and Sardar Kartar Singh, 46, a history-sheeter of Afzalgunj police station. According to police, Swamy, a civil engineer, migrated to the city 15 years ago from his native place Tenali and started a real estate business. After a land deal with a real estate firm in Mumbai failed, Swamy started receiving threat calls from his rival firm’s agent N Tirupathi Rao and his associates, who claimed themselves to be former Maoists.
