Hyderabad: Police solves auto driver's murder case
On November 28, 2011 Times of India reported that a recent unsolved murder mystery was cracked based on the interrogation of six Hindu Vahini activists arrested for attacks allegedly targeting a particular community. Special Investigation Team (SIT) sleuths discovered that five of the activists had murdered a 20-year-old auto driver near RRC Grounds in Secunderabad on October 4. Police had arrested S Sadanand, 27, an electrician from Karmanghat; Shakthi Vinod, 24, a car driver from Hyderguda; K Unni Krishna, 23, a junior artiste of Warasiguda; P Bhargav alias Balu, 21, a B Sc III year student from Musheerabad; Surya Vamshi Santosh, 22, a student of fashion technology from Ram Nagar; and P Kalyan, 26, an MBA student from Warasiguda; for their role in five alleged communal cases booked recently in the city. On Thursday, SIT police had taken the six activists into their custody.
