Haridwar: Youth's abduction lands four behind bars
On November 22, 2011 The Pioneer reported that four persons, including a woman were arrested by the city police on Monday for allegedly kidnapping a city youth for a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The arrests were made a day after cops had rescued the kidnapped youth from Modipuram area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police, Pushkar Singh Selal, while addressing a Press conference on Monday said that the arrests were made following revelations made by the victim, who was kidnapped from Ranipur area here on Saturday. “While four persons have been arrested, two other co-accused in the case are still at large and will be arrested soon,” Selal added.
