Chennai: Red-corner notice sent to all airports to nab credit card fraudster
On November 11, 2011 Times of India reported that a red-corner notice is being sent to all airports in the country to nab the main accused in a fake credit card racket that was busted in Trichy on Wednesday. The accused, Bobby, is said to be hiding in Canada. Police on Wednesday arrested Sri Lankan Tamils A Janagan (29) and D Suresh (25) of Trichy for cloning credit cards using data stolen from abroad, particularly from the UK and Canada, and seized 60 fake credit cards from them. They confessed to getting empty cards, data and equipment from Bobby, who came to Trichy a month ago. Janagan and Suresh said they were instructed to hand over the encoder, embosser, skimmer and other equipment to another Sri Lankan Tamil Vendan to avoid arrest.
