On November 07, 2011 Bangalore Mirror reported that a Hindu priest was hacked to death in the wee hours of Sunday in Talagatpura police limits after he reportedly refused to marry his girlfriend of four years. The deceased Sandeep (25) was a priest at a Ganesha temple near Kengeri satellite town and a resident of Bhuvaneshwarinagar. According to the police, Sandeep had been postponing his marriage to his girlfriend Revati, a resident of Vasantpura, for quite some time. The couple had frequent fights over marriage.
