Chennai: University head arrested for attempt to murder

On November 02, 2011 Times of India reported that the Chennai police arrested Ishari K Ganesh, former chairman of the Pachaiyappa’s Trust, on attempt-to-murder charges on Tuesday. Police said he attacked a trust member during a board meeting at Pachaiyappa’s College in Kilpauk on Saturday. Ganesh is the president/chancellor of Vels University near Pallavaram. Police teams led by Kilpauk assistant commissioner of police J Lloyd Chandra went to Ganesh’s house on Govardhan Street, Royapettah, on Tuesday morning and arrested him.
