Bangalore: Youth killed over love affair
On October 28, 2011 Times of India reported that two brothers — a software engineer and a mechanical engineer — dreamt of making their sister a scientist and got her enrolled in one of the best colleges in the city. And when a young lad had a crush on her, they beat him to death. K Manjunath, K Selva Kumar and their relative R Raju allegedly beat up K Deepak, 18, in Islampur, near Srirampura, after they found that he had fallen in love with their sister. Airport police arrested the trio on Thursday. Police said the three assaulted Deepak inside a building under construction near their home, on Wednesday afternoon. “They smashed his head against the wall, which proved fatal,” police said. Deepak, a second PU Arts student with Ambedkar College in Indiranagar, is survived by his father Krishnappa, a cab driver, elder sister and mother.
