Bangalore: Husband sentenced to life for killing wife

On September 29, 2011 Times of India reported that a fast-track court has sentenced Shanthakumar, 25, to life imprisonment for killing his wife in 2010. Shanthakumar, of Kumbalahalli got Rs 1 lakh and gold jewellery as dowry.
