Mumbai: Drunken hawkers joyride lands them in jail

On September 23, 2011 Times of India reported that four hawkers, one of them a minor, were arrested in a ‘robbery’ case after they went for a ‘joyride’ in a car, when its occupant requested one of them to help him to park the vehicle properly as he was drunk, at Andheri (W) last week. The accused told the police that they had done it for fun. During a religious procession on Friday, a group was travelling by car, and one of them was so drunk that the others requested him to park near the Andheri subway. They said they would join him a few hours later.
