On September 22, 2011 The Pioneer reported that it was a day of achievement for the Ranchi Police. When DIG Sampat Meena came up with the news of busting of a Naxal camp in the zone, Senior Superintendent of Police Saket Kumar Singh briefed media about the busting of a road robbers’ gang on Wednesday. On a tip-off, IG Ranchi Zone Rezi Dung Dung launched Operation Up-Hills against the Naxalites in the bordering areas of Lohardaga and Gumla. The operation was run in Gope, Pahr, Kumhari, Jamti, Temarkachcha, Katia, Kerar, Putrar, Rorad, Bulbul and Saidatoli village.
