Jamshedpur: Police and paramilitary forces apprehend six maoists

On September 19, 2011 The Pioneer reported that in a major breakthrough, police and paramilitary forces arrested six Maoists from Chakulia in Ghatshila sub-division of East Singhbhum. Those in police net are top-ranked Naxalites operating in the bordering districts of Jharkhand and neighbouring Bengal. Suspected West Bengal-based Maoists including one accused in the murder of JMM MP Sunil Mahto were arrested from Jobhi and Jamira village in Naxal-hit Ghatsila sub-division, a senior police officer said.
