On September 09, 2011 Mumbai Mirror reported that additional Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau Vijay Kamble has been accused by a Dadar-based couple of attempt to murder, molestation, assault and threats. Shubhangi and Nitin Thakur filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking registration of FIR against Kamble and four others. The petition said Shubhangi was assaulted in March, but Kamble prevented the FIR from getting registered. According to the complaint, the Thakurs had a long-standing dispute with their relatives Neela Thakur, her daughters Trusha, Sujata and her grandson Mikhail Bose. Neela owns a beauty parlour, and Kamble is her customer.
