Hyderabad: One more arrested in illegal mining case

On August 06, 2011 Mumbai Mirror reported that a powerful politician from Karnataka, Gali Janardhan Reddy, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday. He has been charged under various non-bailable sections of the Indian Penal Code and Forest, Mining and Prevention of Corruption Acts. His brother-in-law, Srinivasa Reddy, who is also the managing director of his mining firm, Obulapuram Mining Company, has also been arrested.
