Midnapore: Two in police custody over murder

On August 29, 2011 Hindustan Times reported that two CPI(M) supporters were arrested on Sunday in connection with the skeleton recovery at Narayangarh in West Midnapore. Subal Shit and Ratan Das, who were named in the FIR filed in the wake of the recovery of a human skeleton on Friday, which the local Trinamool Congress leaders alleged was of their supporter Prabodh Das, were produced before chief judicial magistrate in-charge Sujit Banerjee at Midnapore court and remanded in five days’ police custody.
