Villupuram: Senior Inspector accused of son-in-law’s murder on run

On August 10, 2011 Times of India reported that the district police have launched a hunt for a sub-inspector in connection with the murder of his son-in-law after the Madras high court refused to grant him bail. Police said Nagaraj allegedly masterminded the murder of his son-in-law with the help of his daughter and her friend in Villupuram. D Deenadayalan, a fancy store and a chat shop owner, was hacked to death by an armed gang and his wife D Lakshmi attempted to enact a drama claiming that the gang attacked her and tied her limbs before murdering her husband and escaping with 15.5 sovereign gold jewels.
