On August 10, 2011 Hindustan Times reported that the Ghaziabad police have arrested a couple for abducting an eight-year-old from Ganesh Nagar area of Delhi on Tuesday. On August 7, four persons had kidnapped Sarfaraz, a class 3 student, from near his residence and taken him to their hideout in Ganesh Nagar. Noor Mohammed, the child’s father and a resident of Maharajpur area near Delhi border, received a ransom call of Rs 5 lakh the same evening. He was told to deliver the amount at Link Road area in Sahibabad. “The culprits, identified as Rajni Arora and Mohd Saeed, had planned to murder the child after getting the ransom,“ said Raghubir Lal, senior superintendent of police (SSP).
