Chennai: Man arrested for marrying 3 women for dowry

On August 10, 2011 Times of India reported that the Thirumangalam women police on Monday arrested a 28-year-old man who had married three women. Police nabbed Riyaz alias Robert of MMDA Colony from in front of a hospital in Kilpauk. Riyaz would take dowry from the women and later leave them, police said. The police arrested Riyaz after receiving a complaint from Rose Mary of Mogappair. He converted to Christianity and changed his name to Robert before marrying Rose Mary.
