Pune: Police books corporator for purchasing country-made pistols

On July 05, 2011 Mid-Day reported that the Nigdi police have booked BJP corporator Bhima Bobde (45) of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) for allegedly buying two country-made pistols. It was the arrest of six persons, including four from Bihar, for selling two country-made pistols that set the police on Bobde’s trail. The six arrested were Atmakumar Yadav (24), Dinesh Yadav (20), Mohammed Raza Shaikh (22), Deenanath Gupta (25), all residents of Khajapurkala in Bihar and two others – Anup Sonavane (26) of Ota Scheme area and Prajwan Ghodke (30), a resident of Bhavani Peth police colony.
