Patiala: Constable arrested with 6-kg opium

On May 23, 2011 Hindustan Times reported that the local police on Sunday claim to have arrested a constable of Rajasthan Police for possessing 6 kg of opium. The police said the suspect constable, Ganpat Ram from Bademar district in Rajasthan, has confessed that he had smuggled the contraband to Punjab several times. The SHO of the Bakshiwala police station, Gurpreet Singh Bhinder, had arrested Ganpat on Saturday.
