On April 12, 2011 The Hindu reported that city police on Monday arrested four persons in connection with the murder of a person Mohd. Jahangir of Bhongir in Nalgonda, committed nearly two months ago at Uppal. Jahangir was an associate of surrendered naxalite Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem, whose name figured in several murder cases, including the recent killing of another surrendered naxalite and TRS leader Sambashivudu, the police said. The arrested persons Mohd. Amer, 22.
