West Bengal: Netai chargesheet against 20 CPM leaders

On April 5, 2011 Times of India reported that in a blow to the Left Front only two weeks before the assembly elections, the CBI on Monday charged 20 CPM leaders for the killing of nine villagers in Lalgarh’s Netai on January 7. Those named in the chargesheet include CPM’s Lalgarh zonal committee secretary Anuj Pandey, his cousin Dalim, Dharampur local committee secretary Chandi Karan, the Belatikri local committee secretary, and Sk Khalilluddin, a West Midnapore district committee member. All have been branded “absconders“.
