Ahmedabad: Customs officers arrested over bribery charges

On March 15, 2011 Ahmedabad Mirror reported that special CBI court sent nine accused, including six Customs officials, in a bribery case to judicial custody at the Sabarmati Central Jail on Monday. All nine have moved applications seeking bail in the court. Their pleas will be heard on March 16. The accused were arrested allegedly for taking bribes from city-based Freight Forwarder Company for clearing its import and export consignments from state.
