Ahmedabad: Suspended cop surrendered

On February 22, 2011 Ahmedabad Mirror reported that Gujarat High Court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of V M Jani, the suspended police inspector of the Dariapur police station and an accused in a bribery case. In the evening, Jani presented himself before the police, dressed in khadi. Jani surrendered himself at ACP (B-Division) N C Patel’s office at 7 pm. He was accompanied by his lawyer and family members. The police arrested him immediately and brought him to the Navrangpura police station where the paperwork was completed.
