On November 10, 2010 the Pioneer reported that a man impersonating an IAS officer who tried to defraud a NGO manager was arrested by the Dehradun police on Tuesday. The man later identified as Karan Bahadur, resident of Raibareilly, Uttar Pradesh, approached a manager of an NGO, Maya Rana, who had been looking for a project of the Agriculture Ministry of the Central Government.
