Ludhiana: Man booked for possession of 1.40 quintal of poppy husk

On October 11, 2010 the Hindustan Times reported that the Ludhiana district police (rural) have arrested a person for possessing 1.40 quintal of poppy husk. He has been booked under the NDPS Act. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gursharan Singh Sandhu, a police party was on its way to Jandi village from Bangsipura village on Saturday when it saw a car (HR-26J-3444) coming from the opposite direction.
