Chennai: Man held for smuggling drugs at Chennai port

On October 4, 2010 the Times of India reported that in a joint operation, Chennai police and the Narcotics Control Bureau on Thursday arrested a 35-year-old trying to smuggle ganja. Police seized 14kg of ganja from Khaja Mohammad at the Chennai port. Mohammad hailing from Tuticorin told police he was lured into the racket by an unidentified person who promised him 2,000 for carrying the contraband. Police said that he was involved in the racket for the first time.
